About
The Art of Doing Nothing
We are taught to do something or the other — always.
That's the only way we are assumed to be productive and worthwhile. In doing something or the other always, we lose touch with ourselves, with the joy of quiet being.
Now no one is saying — do nothing always!
But just suggesting to try doing nothing for 3 to 5 days out of 365 days of a year.
And this is exactly that.
To do nothing — as per plan.

The Story
How It All Began
I personally never wanted to be employed in a job that restricted me — I just wanted to be. Somehow I assumed that being an actor would give me that freedom. Once I became part of the entertainment fraternity — I thoroughly enjoyed the work, the adulation, the remuneration — basically everything that came with the job.
Only to realise one thing that I don't own is my time. Every time I sign a new work contract — I sign off 12 hours, 30 days of a month in random order!
And the catch being that not all 30 days will I be needed, and there would be no designated off days either.
That's when it hit me —
I need space “To Do Nothing”.
The Discovery
Traveling periodically but consistently, I started to choose places I had been to earlier — only to go there again and do nothing. Just be.
Every time someone would ask me — “kya karte ho wahan?”
I would say “there's nothing to do”
Not realising it was becoming my calling card!
But every time someone joined me on such a trip — they would invariably come back saying “we never saw the place like this ever before.”
And that's when it hit me — we have forgotten the art of doing nothing, the art of visiting a place without reason, investing in an activity without the gratification of Instagram-worthy pictures.
So here I am — enticing you, urging you to take baby steps, one step at a time with me towards doing Nothing for the next 3 to 5 days.
