Participant Responsibility, Health & Emotional Readiness Agreement

Last updated: 1 March 2026

Elsewhere Collective retreats are immersive, emotionally reflective experiences designed to support personal insight, connection, and inner work. While deeply supportive, these retreats are not therapy, medical treatment, psychiatric care, or crisis intervention.

By registering, each participant acknowledges and agrees to the following:

1. Personal Responsibility

You are fully responsible for your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing during the retreat. Participation is voluntary. You agree to engage at your own pace and to communicate your needs or boundaries when necessary. Elsewhere Collective and its facilitators are not liable for personal outcomes arising from participation.

2. Medical & Psychological Fitness

By attending, you confirm that:

  • You are physically and emotionally stable to participate in a group retreat setting.
  • You are not currently experiencing acute psychiatric conditions, severe untreated trauma, or medical conditions that would make participation unsafe.
  • You will disclose any relevant medical or psychological conditions that may impact your participation.
  • If you are under medical or psychological care, you confirm that you have consulted your provider and received clearance to participate.
  • Elsewhere Collective reserves the right to decline or discontinue participation if it is determined that attendance may pose a risk to you or the group container.

3. No Therapeutic or Medical Claims

Elsewhere Collective retreats are educational and experiential in nature. They do not diagnose, treat, or cure medical or psychological conditions. Nothing shared during the retreat constitutes medical, psychological, or professional advice. Participants are encouraged to seek licensed professional support where appropriate.

4. Code of Conduct

To maintain a safe and respectful container:

  • Confidentiality of fellow participants must be honoured.
  • Respectful behaviour toward facilitators, venue staff, and participants is required at all times.
  • Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate conduct may result in removal from the retreat without credit or transfer.

5. Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that participation in group retreats may involve emotional release, vulnerability, and personal reflection. By attending, you voluntarily assume responsibility for any personal risks associated with participation.
